There are few things better than looking at pretty gowns on the red carpet, but looking at pretty gowns in a museum is one of them. This week marked the opening of the Victoria & Albert Museum‘s ”Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950″ exhibit in London. As expected, it looks nothing short of breathtaking.
Super fancy frocks from designers like Alexander McQueen, Zandra Rhodes, Jenny Packham,Roland Mouret, and Catherine Walker are on display in all their glory. (Kate Middleton would surely approve!) Shoes and accessories are also included in the exhibit. Of course, some of the dresses are displayed on raised pedestals and accessories are housed in glass cases so you can’t get too close and sneeze on something.
