Daphne Guinness MAC Collaboration

S2

MAC‘s latest collaboration involves one of our favorite style icons — and she really threw herself into the project.

None other than Daphne Guinness has lent her talents to the cosmetics company, “personally mixing palettes of differing hues”. And her inspirations are, well, specific:
The stories and influences of her life: the whispered luxury of an antique Chinese porcelain vase, the way the light illuminates the clouds of her childhood home in Northern Spain. Inspirations range from the blues of Duccio, to the discovery in the 18th century of Prussian blue, to pigeon’s blood and the watery greens reminiscent of a Whistler painting, to how the intricate wings of a butterfly resemble the images of deepest space.
The collection will be available beginning Dec. 26, and is comprised of blush, eye shadow, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, lipstick, lip gloss, nail polish, and color pigment in various lovely shades. Like what you see?
