Karl Lagerfeld teams up with Carine Roitfeld

In a dream collaboration of two of fashion's biggest names, ex-editor of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld, and fashion's own multi-tasker Karl Lagerfeld have brought their considerable creative talents together to create the Chanel autumn/winter 2011 campaign.

Featuring Danish model, Freja Beha Erichsen, who has starred in the last two campaigns, the shoot was photographed in Paris by Lagerfeld himself, and styled by Roitfeld.
'The mix with Freja was genius' Lagerfeld told WWD of the new styling team.
The business coupling marks the second big step for Roitfeld post-Vogue, following the news last month that the former editor, who secured record levels of circulation and advertising for the French style bible, would be starring as guest editor on luxury New York shopping Mecca, Barneys' autumn advertising campaign.
True to Lagerfeld's inexhaustible form (as if this collaboration wasn't exciting enough), the designer has also revealed that Erichsen will be starring alongside Lady Amanda Harlech, actress Anna Mouglalis and model Kristen McMenamy, in a film the he is currently making to compliment his Cruise collection. The short will debut in Antibes on May 9: all in a day's work for the ' Hardest Working Man in Fashion '.
