Coca Cola Couture

You know who’s fancy? Karl Lagerfeld. So it comes as no surprise to us that when it came time to unveil the much-anticipated new bottles the designer created for Coca Cola Light, he would do it at a star-spangled party in Paris, filled with legions of waiters dressed exactly like him.

Lagerfeld, who somehow has time to design three limited-edition soda bottles when he’s not making Chanel couture, ready-to-wear for Fendi, filming movies for Hogan or designing a “masstige” line for Macy’s, partied with other famous fashion people last night, including flame-haired model Lily Cole and designer Haider Ackermann. Could Ackermann’s presence be an indicator that Lagerfeld really does want the international designer to replace him at the helm of Chanel? We think this is a sign.
But Lagerfeld didn’t just design the bottles, he also shot their ad campaign, using three of his favorite models (Heidi MountJeneil Williams and Coco Rocha) to express the three sides of Coca Cola Light. What those three sides are we can’t tell. The press release was in French.
