Here is a little success story. Three year old FASHIZBLACK magazine, which started life online, is set to go to print-market this month, January 2012.

Available both in french and english, with up-to-date editorials, consistent african fashion insights, shopping lists, beauty tips and cultural reviews, the Paris-based fashion magazine provides everything you need for a very chic and trendy winter!
What's great is their strategy to go to print. Instead of dipping into savings or going the personal credit card route, the magazine utilized Kickstarter to raise the neccessary funds. Their goal of $40,000, back in August, was met 112%, bringing in $45,105, from 354 backers.
