After Grazia, reported yesterday that Yeezy is allegedly employing a troupe of Central Saint Martin students (designers Louise Goldin, and Dean Quinn among them) in the production of his much-hyped line–and putting them to work in an abandoned night club, no less–we have yet another (amazingly awesome) rumored element to throw into the mix.
According to designer and artist Kesh, who Kanye has been photographed (holding hands!) with, we can expect some surprising runway props: The young designerposted on her blog about West’s upcoming show: “All I can say is Maybachs and models.” Before, Kesh had been a bit more coy, hinting at her role in Yeezy’s fashion foray: “Next week I will be in London consulting for the sickest show at Paris fashion week.”
And while the credibility of Kesh’s statements have yet to be confirmed–we’ve reached out to the designer/artist, but have yet to hear back–we think there’s certainly something to this rumor, especially since this site seems to think the two are dating and reported that Kanye referred to her as his muse.
What’s more, Kesh’s style, a wonderful mash-up of Afro-Asian and 90s hip-hop influences, seems somewhat in line with the rumors Grazia reported that the collection is, “seemingly based on Samurai, with lots of sporty garments, but in luxury fabrics, with embellishment, embroidery – Japanese stuff – gold chainmail, that sort of sports-luxe thang, and unsurprisingly, lots of hoods, baseball/biker jacket shapes…”
Well, that certainly sounds interesting…
