Dior Suspends John Galliano After He’s Arrested For Making Anti-Semetic Remarks, Releases Official Statement

Dior has suspended John Galliano while they investigate the alleged anti-semetic remarks that landed the designer in jail last night, Reuters is reporting.
Dior’s official statement regarding the incident: “Dior affirms with the utmost conviction its policy of zero tolerance towards any antisemitic or racist words or behaviour…Pending the results of the inquiry, Christian Dior has suspended John Galliano from his responsibilities.”
Designer John Galliano was arrested in Paris this morning for an alleged assault in a cafe, according to wire service AFP.
Galliano reportedly accosted a couple at a spot in the city’s Marais District while under the influence of alcohol, making some anti-Semitic remarks. (It seems, from this report, that the altercation was entirely verbal.)
