Blake Lively to Play Carrie Bradshaw?

Sex and the City 2' may have taken a potentially successful movie franchise and strangled the life right out of it, but that doesn't mean we've seen the last of Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. Last Junewe learned that Candace Bushnell's bestselling prequel, 'The Carrie Diaries,' was heading to the big screen; casting rumors are now bubbling forth. Can you imagine Blake in Carrie's iconic tutu? I can't..... Rumor has it that Blake of Gossip girl fame is set to play Carrie in the Sex & the City Prequel.... 

"An insider tells the site, "There are no plans to bring Sarah Jessica Parker and the others girls back together in the old format. The prequel is about breathing new life into the story and exploring Carrie's first few months in NYC and the beginning of her relationship with an older man."
